Started: 2015
Completed: 2016
Client: Altay Local Government

Located minutes away from Altay city in the Xinjiang province of China, the General Mountain resort is the first purposely-built ski resort village of the Chinese Altay mountains.

The project provides accommodation for approximatively 1500 people, including a 150-bedroom hotel.

Our role included studies and options for density and sunlight, zoning plan, detailed design for key landscape areas and a design guide for different building typologies, including the peak building, hotel, guest houses and chalets.

We used BIM software for the production of accurate datasheets for areas, plot data, density, amenity spaces etc. and terrain-analysis software to optimize the alignment of roads and infrastructure, coordinating our design with the civil engineers’ information.
